Gaurav leads OpenRoad Group’s legal function as General Counsel. He advises on M&A, corporate, real property, finance (debt/capital financing), marketing, intellectual property, and general business/operational matters, including managing litigation and mitigating litigation risk. His role also includes representing and advising a related group of companies, such as OpenShine Holdings Ltd. – a franchisee of Tommy’s Express developing and operating automated express car wash locations in Canada. Additionally, as Director, Corporate Affairs, Gaurav is responsible for full life-cycle transaction management, evaluating strategic growth initiatives and establishing and maintaining relationships with external partners and internal stakeholders.

Gaurav Manhas is a lawyer with diverse cross-functional experience. As a lawyer, his experience encompasses roles in private practice and in-house positions. In finance, he obtained his MBA and held roles in corporate development, strategic ventures, and commercial real estate, which focused on capital investment in life sciences, direct property investment and hospitality.
