Farah Ismail

Senior Vice President / Chief Legal, Privacy, and Compliance Officer

Farah Ismail is a nurse-lawyer and has spent almost two decades combining these professions. She has a deep knowledge of how legal and healthcare systems intersect and the need to re-imagine the way care is delivered in this country. Farah holds a BScN and MScN from the University of Western Ontario and an LLB from the University of Windsor. She has fellowships in regulatory excellence and national health. Farah is an avid volunteer and serves on several boards. She co-founded Grayson’s Gratitude, a fundraiser that supports the SickKids Foundation, and is recognized as a lead donor. Farah is a published author and speaker.

Establishing the Legal, Privacy, and Compliance Department represents a transformative shift for SE Health, an organization that has traditionally relied on external support. The department’s alignment of legal operations with SE Health’s mission empowers the organization to deliver exceptional care, ensure compliance, mitigate enterprise-wide risks, and support transformational initiatives. In its first year of growth, the department, led by nurse-lawyer Farah Ismail, has grown to include expertise spanning corporate law and litigation. In addition, key legal functions have been centralized – further unifying critical processes, eliminating redundancies, and integrating legal solutions to support a foundation for innovation, efficiency, and collaboration. The team has truly taken its internal mission of “Helping Good People Do Good Things” to heart.

Song Song is Director of EverBright Finance’s East Team. Prior to joining the company, he gained 12 years’ experience in banking, including in leadership, lending and operations risk control roles. His most recent position was at BNZ as Regional Manager in SME Acquisition. Song’s experience and knowledge of the banking industry give him a great understanding of clients’ financial goals and how to take them there. Song specialises in several areas, such as business and commercial lending, property finance, cash flow lending and budgeting, residential home lending, investment property lending and business planning. His proficiency in these areas enables him to provide tailored financial solutions to his clients.
